MR.G’S STORY
Mr. G fell in love with History, Politics, and Bible in his early years in High School and University. While at Millar Bible College, Mr. G was called to be a teacher. At first, Mr. G wanted to be “Salt and light” in the public system, but the Lord called him into Christian education. He spent 1 year teaching at the public school in La Crete, 3 years in High Level at the Christian Academy and 6 years in the classroom at Koinonia Red Deer. However, In the summer of 2015, Mr. G was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa - an eye condition that slowly reduces the field of vision. Mr. G knew that his time in the classroom was coming to an end but felt called to continue teaching. In 2016, Koinonia Christian Schools started K@home - an Online School. Mr. G knew this was the right fit and from 2016-2024, Mr. G worked as an Online DL teacher. In 2019, Mr. G and his family moved to Saskatchewan to be closer to family. In 2024, Mr. G made the decision to leave Koinonia and strike out on his own by providing tutoring and online courses to homeschool students.
Currently, Mr. G is taking his Master of Biblical Studies (through Millar Bible College) to deepen his understanding of the Scriptures so that he can teach both History and Bible with a strong biblical integration.
